This individual will play an active role in developing and leading strategic initiatives, closing leads generated by the business development team, providing early design direction, aligning expectations, and ensuring client satisfaction. This role will interpret client needs, own their discipline's quality standards, and work regularly with various project stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met. Takes action with limited direction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (subject to change, modification, etc. as seen fit by Company) are as follows but are not limited to:Business DevelopmentSupport K2M Business Development with focus on Architecture on larger proposals with respect to Scope, Fee and StipulationsGenerate repeat business from existing clientsClosing leads generated by Business Development Director / Sales TeamCreate strategies for targeting different Opportunities, Clients and MarketsDevelop marketing content for Architectural services and clients where they are the PIC and/or SMEEnsure that the organization's architecture related marketing output/content are consistent with the overall brandDevelop Scope / Project Understanding, Proposals, Fee CalcsQA Proposals & Fee Calcs developed by Sales TeamDeveloping Strategy and Leading / Participating in PresentationsCoordinate with and back up other Principals/LeadersProject OversightReview and Negotiate contract terms & conditions.Perform PIC Role for projects that they lead the initial proposal for as well as additional projects handed off by other leadership team membersLead the handoff process from proposal to project initiation with PM, Client and K2M Team (including subconsultants)Collaborate and communicate closely with design teams and other stakeholders to regularly deliver architectural design solutions for approvalDevelop and guide early design process, lead overall Architectural BOD Development and coordination of programming, site design, and building massingAct as a representative from K2M Leadership to ensure clients are satisfied and expectations are aligned and are being metAct in an advisory & supportive capacity to assist the PMs, Resource Leaders and K2M Team to navigate challenges and seize opportunitiesSubject Matter ExpertProvide architectural direction and guidance to design teams, ensuring alignment with project objectives and brand guidelines.Ensure that the organization's creative output/visuals are consistent with the overall brandPerform Quality Assurance to ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables and their adherence to client and K2M standards.Mentor team on pitching architectural designs confidently and clearly to clients, as well as communicate in the same manner to members of the design team.Mentor team, providing feedback and support, regarding design standards, and/or client brandReview creative visions and concept designs produced by the teamConduct internal group training sessions and 1:1 TrainingFoster a culture of learning and development within the team, encouraging skill enhancement and knowledge sharing.Requirements QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Education and ExperienceBachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited college or university15+ years' experience in the field of ArchitectureLicensed ArchitectThorough knowledge of architectural design practices, construction methods, integration of engineering and other design disciplines, and building codesExcellent interpersonal skills to clearly and effectively communicate creative vision, concepts, ideas, and solutions to stakeholders, internal teams, and clientsProficient in RevitWork Environment and Physical DemandsThe work environment and physical demands are consistent with that of an office setting.
