Selectek has a need for an Architectural Designer in the Charlotte, NC area. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and estimated to go direct within 6 months of start date.Required:8+ years of Architectural and design/drafting experience with high-end residential/multifamily projectsOn a path to obtain Architectural licenseGood knowledge and understanding of the North Carolina house building codeProficient software skills including AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and SketchupExperience with shop drawings for millwork and custom furniture detailsKnowledge of industry terminology and standard construction methods/materialStrong organizational skills, self-motivated, organized, and effective under pressureHave 3D visional interpretation of construction situationsAbility to work well with others and follow directionsStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and manage several projectsDemonstrate critical thinking skillsDedicated and trustworthy person with extra attention to detailPreferred:Experience and passion for residential, custom building industryRegistered ArchitectJob Description:Site visits when necessary for field measurementsRead and interpret architectural drawingsPrepare technical & shop drawings and details for our projectsWork in a profitable and timely manner according to company standardsInterpret field takeoffs, measurements, and information obtained, as well as make any modifications as neededWork closely with other members of the design team to analyze and solve design issuesResponsibility for maintaining multiple projects at a time and keeping up with revisions as they progress from initiation to completionBe able to follow computer processes and proceduresAttend client meetings as requiredMaintain a draw & build a standard option libraryPossess a high degree of passion, drive and knowledge to achieve the best possible creative resultsMust have a passion for design and an eagerness to learnJob order details:This person will be using Revit and AutoCAD design for high-end, residential properties. The client is a custom design/builder, so this person will be working off construction documents, high-scale renovations, detailing, multi-million dollar condos, and luxury homes.This is your one-stop shop for high-end custom design.
