ResponsibilitiesThe Jorgensen Family YMCA is looking for an energetic, outgoing team player to fill the position of Aquatics Director. This role ensures a safe and engaging aquatic environment for all ages through high-quality programming and facility management.
- Lead: Oversee all aspects of daily pool operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, and YMCA safety and health regulations.
- Develop: Manage swim lesson programs, swim team practices, and meets that promote skill-building and community engagement.
- Deliver: Conduct lifeguarding, CPR, and swim instruction training to ensure a well-prepared and safety-focused team.
RequirementsCandidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Four-year degree preferred but will consider an equivalent combination of education/work experience.
- One to two years related leadership experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
- Excellent human relation skills and enthusiasm. An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours.
- Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Salary: Exempt Full time $45,000-$47,000 salaryHours Available: 40 hours per weekLocation: Jorgensen Family YMCA, 10313 Aboite Center Rd. Fort Wayne, IN 46804Seniority level
