Apprentice Electrician

Job Description Apprentice Electrician Job Sites: Central and Southern Maryland, DC, and Northern Virginia Compensation

• Hourly rate and fringes are per Davis-Bacon Wage Scales. Hourly wages are adjusted per applicable percentage based on apprenticeship level.
• Parking re-imbursement
• Recognized Apprenticeship fee sponsorship (ABC preferred)
• Health insurance available with employer contribution

Responsibilities

• Read Contract Specifications and Drawings
• Install conduit, cable, cable tray and wiring in accordance with the Contract Documents and the National Electrical Code.
• Install electrical equipment, lighting, devices and systems in accordance with the Contract Documents and National Electrical Code.
• Housekeeping related tasks.
• Obtain and bring hand tools per Required Tool List. List can be shared at interview.
• We service different contract locations and commute varies.

Education, Training, Experience, And Certifications

• High School Graduate or GED
• Registration to a Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship Program
• Previous electrical work experience is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is required. All needed PPE & safety training will be provided by the employer.
• Work is performed indoors and outdoors, often exposed to natural elements of cold, heat, moisture and wind.
• Must be able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 Lbs. on a regular basis.
• Must comply with the companys drug requirements and background screening process.
• Must have a valid drivers license, and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background checks to work on the various government facilities.
