Job Description

We are hiring an Applied Scientist for a cross-functional team that builds ML-based products to help AWS sellers understand customers and optimize sales strategies. This scientist will help develop and maintain a suite of ML models that identify the most valuable opportunities and customers for AWS sellers to engage with, and the types of actions they should take to optimize those engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with AWS business leaders to develop and deliver models and evidence to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Solve complex problems, analyze data, and develop machine learning models.
  • Collaborate effectively with product, finance, and business teams.

QualificationsBasic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience building machine learning models for business applications.
  • PhD or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or related.
  • Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with modeling tools like R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, TensorFlow, numpy, scipy.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop, Spark.

Salary range: $150,400 - $260,000/year, depending on location and experience. We offer comprehensive benefits and total compensation packages.
