Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

What We're Looking ForSomeone who is a self-starter with a knack for taking a solution from concept to reality. Solution Architects play a critical role within the Customer Experience team, responsible for understanding a customer's existing processes and transforming them into rich, engaging, and functional conversational solutions. As such, a Solution Architect needs to be inquisitive, have great attention to detail, challenge the status quo, and understand the nuances of end-user behaviors. Most importantly, a Solution Architect must have the technical chops to create transactional experiences by leveraging APIs / microservices and working with developers on the team to build integrations to backend systems. An ideal candidate brings a blend of experience with technical integrations, generative / agentic AI, and conversational / UX design, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment.What You'll Do

• Partner with Pypestream's enterprise clients to build and deploy impactful conversational AI solutions, supporting the entire lifecycle of the account from business strategy and use case scoping through production go-live and beyond.
• Leverage Pypestream's platform to design and develop sophisticated agentic AI applications to achieve our customers' business goals and create delightful user experiences.
• Develop and implement state-of-the-art automated workflows, using AI techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and intent / entity classification.
• Own the overall solution development process, including technical elements like system integrations, authentication protocols, and contextual / conditional logic, as well as design elements like conversational content, styling, and rich media utilization.
• Consult with senior business and IT stakeholders within our clients' organizations to understand and define user experience and integration requirements.
• Work closely with Pypestream Engagement Managers and Data Analysts to analyze solution performance, participate in business reviews, and implement optimizations.
• Collaborate with Pypestream's internal Product and Engineering teams to support custom integrations and new feature development.
• Continually push the envelope to drive technical and design innovations and help shape Pypestream's best practices in the fast-evolving conversational AI space.

What's Required

• US Citizenship or Green Card
• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field / work
• Geographically located within the United States, and strong / native fluency in English
• 2-4 years relevant work experience that blends digital application design / development with technical rigor
• 2-4 years of hands-on experience in the generative AI industry to help design and shape cutting-edge AI-powered experiences
• Proficiency with generative AI techniques (RAG, prompt engineering, fine tuning, etc.)
• Proficiency with REST / SOAP APIs for backend system integrations
• Impeccable attention to detail (millions of users will be directly interacting with your designs)
• Working proficiency with Python or similar object-oriented programming
• Strong understanding of or hands on experience with Natural Language Understanding (NLU)
• Professional demeanor and excellent written / verbal communication skills
• Willingness to occasionally work outside of normal business hours (e.g. for off-hours go-live deployments)
• A curious mind and self-starter mentality

Extra Points If You Have

• Professional background in technical consulting, professional services, or enterprise SaaS
• Proven track record of implementing generative AI solutions and / or virtual assistants in production environments
• A passion and demonstrable talent for building user-facing experiences that are clean and elegant on the surface while being technically complex “under the hood”
• Deep hands-on experience with APIs and system integrations
• Familiarity with web development tools (HTML, CSS, Javascript, browser dev tools)
• Familiarity with scripting and integration tools such as Jupyter Notebook, Postman, or similar
• Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with high levels of ambiguity
