Role: CNC Programming and Tooling Applications Engineer.

We are seeking a proficient Applications Engineer with a solid background in tooling and CNC programming. This position involves creating custom machining solutions to meet specific client needs. You will collaborate across departments to develop advanced technical solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and product efficiency. This is a full-time, direct hire position located in Traverse City, Michigan.

Principal Duties:
  • Customer Collaboration: Determine application requirements and provide customized solutions to improve tooling application accuracy and productivity by collaborating with internal teams and customers.
  • Custom Solution Development: Create and execute unique CNC tool programming, adjusting settings as needed to achieve optimal performance in challenging situations.
  • Training and Technical Assistance: Provide in-person and remote CNC programming and tooling best practices training and support to internal teams and customers.
  • Testing and Quality Standards: Develop and verify programs that meet client requirements and high-performance standards to support quality assurance initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with sales and production teams to showcase capabilities and support custom applications, ensuring a seamless client experience.
  • Documentation and Best Practices: Document workflows and establish best practices to enhance team technical expertise.
    • Qualifications:
    • Expertise in custom tooling applications and CNC programming.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in a production or industrial setting.
    • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across functional boundaries.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
    • 5+ years of experience in programming, CNC tooling, or related roles.
