Job Summary

Responsible for all aspects of application engineering support for freezer installations for The Company's food customers, including design, installation, repair SOPs, and documentation.

Works with customer service, distribution, local sales, product management, vendors, and contractors on projects for new and existing customers. Handles some customer service from prior orders, order entry, parts orders, quoting, and pricing. Responsible for sales of new freezers. Reports to VP of Application Engineering.

Essential Functions

• Maintain high safety performance and regulatory compliance.
• Provide sales support to the industrial gases group, including prospecting and qualifying potential clients in food freezing.
• Assist Bulk Sales Representatives during sales calls as a technical expert.
• Interface with equipment suppliers for optimal performance and pricing.
• Conduct client demonstrations and generate test reports.
• Serve as a technical market expert.
• Analyze and interpret technical information with excellent reasoning skills.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Utilize computer skills including CAD, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

QualificationsEducation

Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred) required.

Experience

1-3 years preferred; 4-6 years desirable; 7-9 years highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Deep understanding of industrial gas products and applications; conceptual knowledge of gas production and handling.

Physical Demands

Includes talking, hearing, sitting, using hands, standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 10-25 pounds, and visual abilities for troubleshooting and driving.

Work Environment

Includes occasional outdoor work, exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels. Reasonable accommodations available.

Travel Requirements

Estimated 20% travel for customer visits and sales calls.
