Job Description :

Under limited supervision of the IT Application Manager, the Application Coordinator/Analyst II is responsible for gaining in-depth knowledge of software and serving as a bridge between end user operations and the Epic team. Reporting to a GBMC Application Manager for Epic applications, the role involves reviewing Epic software, analyzing workflows, building efficient systems that meet user needs, testing, adhering to change control procedures, and designing training materials for Epic system users.

The position also includes developing internal procedures for third-party vendor applications, leading system implementation projects, troubleshooting user issues, resolving helpdesk tickets, and participating in on-call rotations. Additional responsibilities include devising benchmarking metrics, understanding clinical or business operations, and supporting team initiatives with analytical skills.

Education

Baccalaureate degree or health-related field preferred. Certifications or relevant experience may substitute for formal education on a two-for-one basis. Clinical licenses such as RN or Pharmacist are preferred for clinical analyst roles.

Experience
  • One year in clinical or healthcare operations or IT.
  • One year Epic analyst experience.
  • Understanding of clinical or healthcare workflows.
Skills
  • Excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer systems and interfaces.
  • Ability to gather data, design systems, and assess performance metrics.
  • Support end users at Tier 1-3 levels and escalate issues appropriately.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with large-scale healthcare information system implementations.
  • Epic certification in relevant modules.
  • Knowledge of current healthcare environment and workflow development.
Certifications

Must complete Epic certification within 120 days of employment.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Lead meetings, prioritize tasks, and manage project plans.
  • Communicate with Epic representatives and document processes.
  • Analyze workflows, data, and software impacts.
  • Develop and test system updates, and support data reporting needs.
  • Participate in on-call support as scheduled.

Compensation and Policies

Pay range: $72,782.10 - $123,729.56, based on qualifications. Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless exempted. Equal Opportunity Employer.
