Employment Requirements:Japanese skill is a plus, not requiredThe Role :The Sr. Software Engineer is responsible for system analysis, design, development and testing for their assigned technical product(s) or application(s) under Project Manager. The project is replacing legacy DB and custom applications to Microsoft base platform. This role also includes analysis of existing legacy systems.• Analysis and Design:o Analyze business requirementso Perform technical analysis of new and existing legacy systemso Develop design documentation and other relevant collateralo Make strategy of transition within the Project teamo Estimate work efforto Support, guide and lead other associates in the understanding of legacy systems• Development and Testing:o Coding and configurationo Code reviews and peer consultationso Unit testing and unit test developmento System, integration and user acceptance test planning, execution and testing supporto Defect management and resolution• Operations and Support:o Monitoring and recording daily system operational taskso Steering providers in the execution of tier 1 support taskso Resolving escalated support topicso Leveraging and enhancing operations and development toolso Planning and executing upgrades and replacements to ensure that hardware and software components remain supportedo Executing SOX processes to ensure ongoing stable operations and alignment with SLAs• Business Analysis:o Building a strong understanding of the assigned business processes, functions, roles and ruleso Owning the functional solution- the big picture story - of the initiative being deliveryo Collaborating with the Business to elicit requirements, define acceptance criteria, and maintain a prioritized product backlogo Creating user stories to the level of granularity required by the teamo Clarifying inconsistencies and resolving issues to bridge the gap between user expectations and the delivered producto Testing deliverables against a user story's acceptance criteria to validate that the delivered product meets the business goals• Coordination and Administration:o Coordinating day to day activities with team memberso Leading and mentoring other team members as appropriateo Coordinating release planning and off-cycle effortso Resolving or escalating risks and issueso Executing resource planning and time tracking processesRequired Experience:• Bachelor's Degree• IT experience• 3 - 5 years application development in a Microsoft environment• Strong knowledge of common concepts, architectures and processes in software development.• Well-versed in dealing with common IT technologies (e.g. .Net, Webpage development, databases)• Strong written and verbal communication skills with users and vendors at all levels.• Knowledge and hands on of application developments on Microsoft Office 365 (e.g. SharePoint, PowerAutomate, or PowerBI) are preferred
