Application Engineer B - Yaskawa : Job Details

Application Engineer B – Responsible for providing sustained support for Yaskawa drives and their associated applications. Provide product, application, and process knowledge support for proprietary drive products, options, projects, and solutions that meet YAI industry standards; provide technical expertise to assist customers in the use of YAI products and services to improve their application and automation capabilities; represent YAI in a professional and competent manner, which instills confidence in the customer, and fosters relationships with customers in order to enhance the utilization of Yaskawa products and services; interface closely with sales, product marketing, engineering peers, management, and other staff to acquire orders and address customer needs; provide timely assistance to Product Marketing, Product Development, and Product Engineering on product release and product promotion collateral requirements; consistently improve and refine technical and product knowledge skills to achieve success; and provide mentoring support to fellow application engineers. Designated as the “lead” facilitator and be required to coordinate proposals, specifications, work plans, training, technical explanations, and general support with fellow associates. Salary: $94,786/year to $133,300/year. Benefits: Requirements – bachelor's or foreign degree equivalent in engineering, physics or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or supporting and applying PWM variable frequency drives in industrial applications. Special skills – Experience with process automation solutions with focus in AC Drive and electromechanical control areas; MATLAB; and with serial communications and network protocol including Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, EtherCAT, and BACnet. 25% domestic travel required.
