Application Developer Company Munich Re America Services Location Princeton , United States Job Responsibilities* Conducts analysis work to understand business requirements and design solutions to meet emerging business demands* In-depth experience and understanding of software development lifecycle* Testing and evaluating new programs, reporting tools or finance specific applications to meet finance transformation demands* Identifying areas for modification in existing programs and subsequently developing, upgrading or replacing these programs* Implement change requests (minor and major) related to the existing Finance Products* Experience with information security concepts including identity access management, data classification schemas, security awareness and application or server vulnerability monitoring.* Contributes to and updates technical documents (e.g., product documentation, technical descriptions, architectural documents, service descriptions, operation manuals, authorization concepts).* Analyses of current technical architecture and alignment of new development with MR coding and architectural standards* Alignment with Project Management on tactical level and task tracking on operational level using Azure DevOps* Collaborate with other teams to integrate systems* Develop and maintain technical documentation* Maintain Production, Development and UAT deployment environments* Ability and willingness to develop products with a team approach.* Excellent business acumen with ability to easily grasp business topics and to view and present IT information with a business perspective in laymen's terms.* Ability to handle multiple development initiatives with pending deadlines and concurrent demands.* Design and implement robust integration solutions using BizTalk Server, SSIS and .Net web services.* Implement automated build, deployment, and rollback pipelines using Azure DevOps. Automate deployment of BizTalk applications, SSIS/SSRS packages, and web services.* Manage and provision environments (Dev/UAT/Prod) using IaC tools (ARM, Terraform, Bicep, etc.).* Ensure compliance with ITIL practices: incident, problem, and change management. • Special skills: API Development, Dot Net Web Services Education or comparable experience * Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology* 5+ years' experience in IT application development using agile methodology and tools* 5+ years' experience in analysis of business demands, deriving system requirements and translating into system solutions.* 5+ years' experience with application development tools and programming languages.* 5+ years' experience with cloud computing. * Demonstrable track record of successful product implementations that delivered value to the business.* Experience in finance applications and insurance business preferred.
