Description

This role involves analyzing, developing, and modifying complex application programs with minimal supervision. The candidate may also support enterprise systems.

  • Codes, tests, debugs, modifies, and troubleshoots application programs and ad-hoc programs according to shop standards.
  • Analyzes complex application processes and integrated computer systems, identifying and resolving problems.
  • Defines, analyzes, and documents business processes, practices, and requirements.
  • Assists users in testing business processes and monitors system test procedures.
  • Provides technical assistance and training to junior staff.
  • Documents tables, data structures, run streams, and programs per accepted practices.
  • Develops technical documents on system design and programming; creates user manuals.
  • Uses non-core technologies like voice responses, EDI, and web interfaces to design, code, test, and troubleshoot systems.
  • Learns new technologies and techniques.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Thorough understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical, or professional discipline. Typically obtained through a 4-year degree or equivalent specialized training. At least three (3) years of relevant experience required.

    Basic Qualifications
    • Preferably 3+ years experience designing and implementing large-scale Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions in the cloud.
    • Experience with query languages (SQL, HiveQL, SPARQL), schema definition languages (DDL, SDL, XSD, RDF), and scripting languages (Python, Scala).
    • Understanding of distributed system concepts, data persistence solutions, data integration techniques, database optimization, and join algorithms.
    • Experience with CI/CD automation for data lakes using tools like CDK or Terraform.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lake Formation, Step Functions, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, RDS, EMR, Redshift.
    • Experience with healthcare data formats like HL7/FHIR, genomics, and medical imaging data.
    • Understanding healthcare infrastructure and security requirements.
    • Knowledge of industry-standard database and analytical technologies, including MPP, NoSQL, Data Warehouse design, and BI operations.
