Apparel Designer - Adecco : Job Details

Adecco Creative is partnering with one of New York City s most prominent brands to recruit for a temp to perm Designer role. This position will be 4 days onsite, 1 day remote and will focus mainly on womenswear cut & sew knits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates product detail sheets for individual styles clearly detailing branding placement, techniques, top stitching, etc.
• Ability to re-color print artworks
• Creates registered embroidery for development, with concise instructions to factories, and provides feedback
• Develops initial tech packs for new styles
• Assists in proto fittings, describing any sketch updates needed for cross functional teams
• Maintains design presentation board
• Partners with senior designer into sketching concepts
• Maintains linesheets - sketch updates, style colorways, inspiration layouts and develops color guides for collections
• Assists in sample organization and presentations
• Works heavily with managers, factories, and cross-functional partners

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience working in design to include cut & sew knits and wovens
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Previous history working with oversees factories, and cross functionally within teams
• Excellent handsketching
• Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Centric PLM
• Ability to problem solve and pivot as needed
• Able to embrace evolving designs and bring fresh concepts to life
