As part of the Carat B2B Enterprise Products team, you'll help shape the future of SnapPay, our flagship product that streamlines payment processes by integrating directly with ERP and e-commerce systems. You will play a key role in building and managing secure, scalable APIs that are central to our platform's success. Using tools like Apigee, you'll contribute to the full API lifecycle—from design to deployment—ensuring performance, security, and reliability at every step. You'll work alongside passionate, cross-functional teammates who thrive on innovation and are driving one of the most dynamic products in Global Business Services.What you will do:Help shape the future by translating big-picture strategy into tangible product features that delight our clients.Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, keeping projects on track and on time.Design and build robust, scalable APIs with high uptime, as our clients depend on us.Own the full API lifecycle using Apigee, including design, development, deployment, security enforcement (throttling, quotas, authentication), publishing, monitoring, and analytics.Break down complex monolithic applications into modern, microservice-based architectures.Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and sales partners to bring new features to life.Create clear, actionable design documents to ensure alignment.Stay ahead by identifying the best tools, platforms, and technologies for solving hard problems.Prioritize security and help keep sensitive data safe and compliant.What you will need to have:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, education, and military service.Minimum 8 years of experience in API development and architecture using REST frameworks, C#, and .NET technologies.At least 2 years of hands-on experience with full API lifecycle management using Apigee, including design, security, deployment, publishing, monitoring, analytics, and monetization.Proven experience implementing and managing API gateways, specifically Apigee, with the ability to design and enforce throttling, quotas, and authentication policies.Demonstrated ability to split monolithic APIs into microservices, integrate microservices into ecosystems, and deploy using Kubernetes, including containerization and security.Strong proficiency with Azure services and infrastructure; experience monitoring API usage and predicting scaling needs.Ability to analyze and optimize API performance through database partitioning, scaling strategies, and resolving architectural bottlenecks.Certifications in Azure, Apigee, or related technologies, with experience scaling large web applications and managing cloud and on-prem environments.Background in managing Azure Kubernetes Clusters.What would be great to have:Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Experience handling client PII securely in cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or Google Cloud.Deep knowledge of API architecture and MicroServices best practices.Strong communication skills—able to make complex ideas simple.How you'll work:Fiserv emphasizes in-person collaboration to help you grow your career while shaping the future of fintech; this role is on-site.#LI-SH2This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, Rhode Island, or Washington.It is unlawful to discriminate against a prospective employee due to veteran status.Please note that salary ranges provided are estimates and may not be accurate.Thank you for considering employment with Fiserv.
