Animator - Media Production Analyst 3 with Security Clearance - asd : Job Details

Creative technical animator with a deep expertise in photorealistic rendering using Houdini 20.5, who specializes in presenting complex concepts in visually compelling, understandable, and informative ways to join our communications team here at Space Park. The role will report directly to The Creative Services Manager of Animation & Graphic Design for the SSSD Communications organization. This position will be located at our Redondo Beach CA campus. Responsibilities:• Strong Houdini animation production skills.• Experience with node-based compositing software, Nuke is preferred.• Practical knowledge and experience with a professional animation pipeline• Experience utilizing basic business and creative software (e.g., Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, & Illustrator).• Ability to work independently while managing multiple deliverables.• Portfolio of work showcasing the applicant's breadth of animation, compositing & data visualization capabilities.• Ability to obtain a security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite. Basic Qualifications for an Animator (Media Production Analyst) 3/4: Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution with 6+ years minimum of related professional experience – OR – a Master's degree with 4+ years of related professional experience. An additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree. Basic Qualifications for a Level 4:• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution with 10+ years minimum of related professional experience – OR – a Master's degree with 8+ years of related professional experience. An additional 4 years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree. Preferred Qualifications for an Animator (Media Production Analyst) 3/4:• Active TS/SCI security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.• Sketch and or drawing skills a plus.• A strong interest in storytelling.• Good time management, organizational skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.• Willingness to learn and keep current with new trends, software, and techniques.• Aerospace and Defense experience.
