Animal Technician I - Charles River Laboratories International : Job Details

We are seeking an Animal Care Technician I to join our Insourcing Solutions team, located in St. Petersburg, FL. As the Animal Care Technician I, you will use existing SOPs and quality assurance standards to monitor, observe, and record animal health and welfare daily, as well as complete various standard animal husbandry duties. Additional responsibilities include: Maintain accurate records of animal breeding, health, and housing. Follow all procedures to maintain housing areas, including room or facility personnel entry; personnel protective equipment use, spraying in all equipment and materials into controlled areas. Receive, inspect, and put away incoming animals. Operate equipment following all safety guidelines. May be involved in the breeding and weaning program, performing various duties from weaning and sexing, to ensuring appropriate production levels are met.
