Overview
The Animal Management Services department is looking for a part-time assistant to support registrar functions and general office administration. The position offers flexible working hours with approximately 30-35 hours per week, depending on experience and skill level. Attention to detail, communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills are all important elements contributing to success in the role. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to :
Qualification Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must upload both a resume and cover letter. Candidates with science, research, library, or registrar background preferred Candidates with experience or strong interest in data management, including archival and electronic records, are encouraged to apply Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Ability to identify, verify, and transcribe data on source documents is essential Must be able to work effectively and efficiently independently or as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, SharePoint) and Adobe General knowledge of zoological / taxonomic nomenclature and animal husbandry is desirable but not mandatory
Workplace Conditions and Physical Requirements : The position requires work in office environments. This includes use of computer and office equipment and requires sitting, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
