Animal Care Attendant - Shelter - City of San Antonio Texas : Job Details

Under general supervision, is responsible for performing the cleaning, maintenance, and sanitizing of kennels and associated equipment and providing general animal husbandry. Assist with transportation of animals to and from kennels before and after surgery. Working conditions are in an indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to temperature variations, infectious diseases, and hostile animals. Exercises no supervision. Work Location. Working location may rotate between Animal Care Services Main Campus at 4710 State Highway 151, San Antonio, TX 78227, and satellite city-run facilities in various locations within city limits. Work Hours. Rotating shifts between 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday - Sunday; weekend and holiday availability required. Essential Job Functions Demonstrates excellent customer relations with internal and external customers. Feeds animals as scheduled and ensures water is available at all times.
