Animal Attendant (S05) - Companion Animal Hospital - Cornell University : Job Details

As an Animal Attendant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of approximately 123 rooms in our Companion Animal Hospital, used to provide veterinary services to over 28,000 patients annually. Maintain hallways and other assigned floors, which include dust mopping and mopping daily, as well as stripping, waxing and polishing as needed, and as time allows. You will clean and disinfect all areas throughout the shift, which includes exam rooms between clients, trash removal, and removal and disposal of bio hazardous wastes. Required Qualifications. HS Diploma with at least 6 months prior experience, including direct experience with companion animal handling in a veterinary facility using various holding techniques, and in housekeeping/custodial/disinfection work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
