Anesthesia Technologist - PRIDE Health : Job Details

Job Description:

Pride Health is hiring an Anesthesia Tech to support our client's medical facility based in Rochester, New York. This is a 13-week contract job opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under limited direct supervision: 20% Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia, including: preparation of anesthesia equipment before the patient's arrival, placement of anesthesia monitors, ensuring the cleanliness of anesthesia equipment, ensuring availability of specialized anesthesia equipment and supplies, and the set-up of medications and supplies where applicable.

Continuously communicate with anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs, and anesthesia technologists to ensure their needs are met throughout the day.

Assist clinicians with difficult intubations and the placement of central line catheters.

20% Operate the cell-saver machine, keep track of lab reports, and participate in cardiac, liver transplant, vascular, thoracic, trauma, and other advanced surgical cases.

Work directly with the service-specific faculty Division Chief of the designated specialty.

Provide on-call coverage.

20% primary support in ensuring that the anesthesia equipment is in good working order and preventive maintenance is completed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BLS, two years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A four-year college education, including related technical training; or a two-year college education that included technical training closely related to this position and two years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certification by the registry of the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists or other nationally recognized professional certifying body is preferred.

Schedule: Regular work day (8 hrs)

Pay Range: $32/Hr. - $35/Hr.
