Anesthesia Technician - PRIDE Health : Job Details

Pride Health is hiring for an Anesthesia Tech to support our client's medical facility based in Austin, TX. This is a 14-week opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates the clinical skills necessary for assisting with anesthesia- related procedures; troubleshooting of equipment- regardless of anesthetizing location (IE: OR, Cath lab, OB/GYN, CV).
• Serves as a Mentor to Anesthesia techs by utilizing skills and knowledge by helping to train and orient others.
• Assists anesthesiologist with preparation and placement of neurophysiologic monitors.
• Assists with induction by connecting patient to monitors.
• Assists with intubation.
• Assists with the maintenance of patient's airway.
• Assists with the insertion of IVs and other invasive lines.
• Assists anesthesiologist during outside cases.
• Assists and anticipates needs of anesthesiologist in invasive monitor insertion and procedures such as arterial access, central venous access, fiberoptic intubation and/or difficult airway situations.
• Provides support to the patient care team throughout the case.
• Performs salvaged blood processing per protocol, as required by Department when needed.
• Assists anesthesiologist with volume infusions as directed during intraoperative procedures.

Education/Requirements:

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support via American Heart Association

Candidate must have one of the below certifications:

• CER-A-T - Cert-Cert Anesthesia TECH via the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) OR
• Associate's Degree - Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT)
• (5 years' experience as an Anesthesia Technician will be accepted in lieu of the Cer-A-T)
• Required- 3 years' experience as an anesthesia technician.

Job Title: Anesthesia Tech

Location: Austin, TX

Shift Schedule: 8 Hrs 3x8

Pay Range: Local $28 to $32/hr, Travel- $1000 to $1400/week
