Job Summary:

CenterPoint Energy has been a leader in utility services for over 150 years, committed to delivering reliable electricity and natural gas. The Analyst, Systems role focuses on supporting Reliability Engineering through data analysis, reporting, and identifying areas for improvement, while leveraging various data systems and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Collect and maintain data to support Reliability Engineering including, but not limited to tracking, evaluation, and ad-hoc analysis and reporting.

• Develop, populate, and report out to stakeholders, relevant performance benchmarks and scorecards.

• Maintain metrics and reports needed to support ongoing projects and programs.

• Execute quality assurance testing plans to ensure current practices meet business needs.

• Evaluate current practices and recommend tangible improvement opportunities.

• Perform research and provide actionable business intelligence.

• Recommend improvements to record management systems and work order processes to ensure the integrity of company records.

• Analyzes reports and communicates results to stakeholders.

• Serves as a subject matter expert to research and develop responses for technical questions.

• Constant, self-motivated pursuit of learning systems, organizational structure, processes, data sets, techniques, etc.

• Operate with intermittent supervision, guidance, and direction from leadership and senior staff.

• May provide training and guidance to less experienced professionals.

• Participate in CenterPoint Energy's All Hazards Operations Plan (AHOP).

Qualifications:

Required:

• Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

• Three (3+) years of experience within project management, reliability, or related function may be considered in lieu of degree.

• Requires a minimum of 2 years of related industry experience.

• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and database management skills in Windows environment.

• Proven success in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

• Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative.
