Summary Under limited direction using a superior understanding of business systems and industry requirements works with business users to resolve complex problems across the system. Continually expands knowledge and expertise in information technology, new technologies and development across the enterprise application. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems. Works with management to analyze problems or systems for alternatives and solutions. Coaches other team members in problem analysis, identifying potential solutions and continual process improvement. Leads medium to large projects as required. Responsibilities (5%)* Able to lead medium to large projects. (10%)* Expands knowledge and expertise in information services, new technologies and development across the enterprise application. (20%)* Uses a superior understanding of business systems and industry requirements to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering system limitation. (20%)* Responds to management requests for analysis of problems or systems including researching alternatives and identifying potential solutions. (20%)* Assumes subject matter expertise across the application and applies the application technology to the current business environment including integration of enterprise solutions. (20%)* Resolves complex problems and manages system development lifecycle across the application. (5%)* Coaches other team members in problem analysis or identifying potential solutions and developing and revising processes and procedures. Certifications and Licensures N/A Required Education Associate's degree is reqiured Bachelor's degree in IT, business, or healthcare field a minimum of or Associate's degree with four or more years of work related experiences providing advanced application system support. 5 years of experience supporting type of system being hired to support preferred. Project management experience preferred. Other Information EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND SKILLS: Four (4) years providing advanced application system support. Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate at multiple organization levels across the health system as required. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to stressful situations, including those involving public contact, as well as, trauma, grief and death. Able to wear personal protective equipment that includes latex materials or appropriate substitute if required for your position. Is able to move freely about facility with or without an assisted device and must be able to perform the functions of the job as outlined in the job description. Overall vision and hearing is necessary with or without assisted device(s). Frequently required to sit/stand/walk for long periods of time. May require frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling or crouching. Some exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material. Must follow MyMichigan Health bloodborne pathogen and TB testing as required. Ability to handle multiple tasks, get along with others, work independently, regular and predictable attendance and ability to stay awake. Overall dexterity is required including handling, reaching, grasping, fingering and feeling. May require repetition of these movements on a regular to frequent basis.
