LAFC is invested in the world's game and Los Angeles, constructing and developing the 22,000 seat BMO Stadium and a top-flight training center on the campus of Cal-State Los Angeles.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Analyst, Business & Data Strategy (BDS) is responsible for executing projects that impact the business operations of Los Angeles Football Club, BMO Stadium, and external consultancy engagements. This role focuses on analyzing data across all club data sources, supporting data ingestion, creating predictive models, and supporting ticketing, marketing, and partnerships strategies. The position requires collaboration with various departments such as ticketing, partnerships, stadium operations, finance, merchandise, marketing, and soccer operations. The ideal candidate will interact with stakeholders, leverage insights, and develop creative, data-driven solutions.

This role reports to the VP, Business and Data Strategy.

LAFC operates on a hybrid model with at least 2 in-office days per week, subject to change based on role and supervisor discretion.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Support the Business & Data Strategy team in setting up reports for monitoring business performance, including data ingestion, processing, and transformation.
  • Lead cross-departmental projects for stadium events and implement recommendations.
  • Analyze sales, service, and CRM data to develop models for lead scoring, retention, dynamic pricing, and seat allocation.
  • Design and execute marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Conduct statistical analysis using hypothesis testing, predictive modeling, etc.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines with external vendors using tools like Databricks and AWS.
  • Create visual presentations of insights from sales, survey, and marketing data.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, optimization, customer experience, and financial performance improvements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in analytics, business, computer science, data science, economics, math, or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
    • At least 2 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data science preferred.
    • Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
    • Knowledge of coding languages (SQL, R, Python preferred).
    • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred).
    • Experience with marketing and analytics tools (SAS CI360, SAS Viya preferred).
    • Experience in the sports industry is a plus.
    • Knowledge of database and cloud architecture is a plus.
    • Knowledge of ticketing systems (Ticketmaster preferred) is a plus.
    • ETL experience is a plus.
    • Knowledge of soccer is a plus.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Strong ownership, organization, and attention to detail.
    • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Discretion handling sensitive information.
    • Experience with third-party vendors.
    • Flexible schedule for nights, weekends, and holidays.

    SALARY RANGE

    The salary range is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, based on experience and skills.
