This role ensures accurate processing of benefits data, supports compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and serves as a key point of contact for employees on benefits and leave-related matters. The Benefits Analyst partners with internal teams, external vendors, and leadership to enhance employee experience and drive process efficiencies.Coordinate the day-to-day administration of employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA, and retirement).Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations through HRIS systems (e.g., Workday)Respond to employee inquiries regarding eligibility, coverage, claims, and leave processes with clarity and empathy.Administer all types of leave, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, parental, short/long-term disability, and other company-sponsored leaves.Track and document leave timelines, medical certifications, and return-to-work plans in compliance with applicable laws.Reconcile and process monthly benefits invoices; ensure accurate and timely vendor updates.Conduct benefits audits and data integrity reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.Collaborate with payroll to ensure correct benefits deductions and leave-related pay adjustments.Support benefits open enrollment, including system updates, employee communications, and training sessions.Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for HR leadership, offering insights into benefit usage, trends, and opportunities for improvement.Stay current with benefit and leave laws (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, ADA), and support compliance efforts.Partner with brokers and insurance providers during renewals and plan evaluations.Participate in wellness initiatives and internal education campaigns related to benefits.Additional Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssist with testing, upgrades, and implementation of benefit systems.Act as a liaison between HR, employees, third-party administrators, and insurance vendors.Support accommodations and employee transitions with HR Managers.Contribute to the continuous improvement of benefits processes and employee experience.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNo supervisory responsibilities.Education & ExperienceBachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.2+ years of experience in benefits or leave administration.Strong understanding of benefits regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, FMLA, ADA, PWFA)Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Experience with HRIS platforms; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.Education RequirementsRequiredBachelor's DegreeHuman Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.1+ year customer service backgroundStrong functional knowledge of Excel specific to creating, formatting and evaluating formulas and working within templates.Must be proficient in Excel, Word and other MS Office products along with Adobe products.Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills.Ability to manage and negotiate multiple priorities and deadlines.Physical RequirementsThis position works under usual office conditions. The associate is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed. Physical demands include ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
