DescriptionAmeriQual Foods is seeking an IT Support Intern to join our Information Technology team. This internship offers hands-on experience in maintaining and troubleshooting computer systems, hardware, and software while providing first-line technical support to end users. Key responsibilities include:
- Installing and configuring software and hardware
- Assisting with hardware diagnostics and repairs
- Responding to user support requests and resolving basic technical issues
- Documenting solutions and contributing to knowledge base resources
RequirementsQualifications/Requirements • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a associate's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. • Exceptional customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to work with employees at all levels • General experience with Windows servers, Active Directory, DHCP and DNS. • General experience with TCP/IP, LANs, WANs, VPN and VLAN, WiFi. • Knowledge of VoIP, Video Surveillance Systems, Badge Systems, and PLCs are a plus • Strong organizational skills, with ability to multitask, manage multiple requests, and prioritize as needed • A demonstrated ability to analyze a problem and work through it to reach a resolution • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Pro-active, self-motivated, and eager to learn new things. • May be required to occasionally work extended hours and/or nights and weekends as needed to ensure the uptime and availability of the network and systems. Physical requirements This job operates in an office environment but may require exposure to manufacturing plant conditions. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.
