America Reads Tutor - Westminster College : Job Details

The Westminster College America Reads program is a federally funded program in which we send college-aged students to tutor children in local elementary schools. Students who tutor gain valuable networking opportunities and enrich their professional development. Minimum Qualifications Westminster College students are eligible to tutor if they: qualify for federal work study attend mandatory, paid training sessions are punctual and reliable are enrolled for six credit hours are in good academic standing able to provide transportation to and from tutoring sites (some schools are within walking distance) have exceptional people skills love working with children can work a minimum of four hours per week and no more than ten hours per week. Tutors set their own schedule around their course demands and the needs of each tutoring site.
