A growing e-commerce company is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Amazon Catalog and Purchasing Manager to join their team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our product catalog on Amazon to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality content while also managing purchasing operations to maintain optimal inventory levels. The Amazon Catalog and Purchasing Manager will lead a team of data analysts and purchasing coordinators, providing strategic direction beyond day-to-day tasks like data entry or order placement. This role will work closely with vendors, sellers, and internal teams to improve catalog performance, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with Amazon's standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on meeting business goals, driving sales, and enhancing the customer experience through effective catalog and inventory management. Responsibilities Include:
- Catalog Management:
- Oversee and optimize the product catalog on Amazon, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and high-quality content.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve catalog issues and ensure compliance with Amazon's standards.
- Purchasing Operations:
- Manage purchasing operations to maintain optimal inventory levels, working closely with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate purchasing terms and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness and maintain a competitive edge.
- Team Leadership & Performance Monitoring:
- Lead a team of data analysts and purchasing coordinators, providing guidance, training, and performance monitoring.
- Set strategic goals for the team, track progress, and drive continuous improvements.
- Supplier & Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that impact catalog performance or inventory management.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze catalog data, inventory trends, and purchasing performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Report on key performance metrics and develop action plans to meet business goals and optimize sales.
- Continuous Process Improvement:
- Lead efforts to streamline catalog management and purchasing processes to support growth and operational excellence.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Amazon catalog management and purchasing operations.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and motivating teams.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers and vendors.
- Solid understanding of Amazon's catalog standards and best practices.
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to leverage insights for continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Amazon Seller Central, inventory management software, and related tools.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
