Altoona Honda Warranty Clerk - Timbrook Automotive : Job Details

The Automotive Warranty Clerk is responsible for processing warranty claims efficiently and accurately in accordance with manufacturer and dealership policies. This position plays a key role in ensuring timely reimbursement for warranty work and maintaining positive relationships with manufacturers and service department personnel. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and submit warranty claims to manufacturers and/or vendors.
• Verify criteria required by manufacturers for warranty claims and ensure proper documentation.
• Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid or denied claims.
• Maintain current knowledge of manufacturer and dealership warranty policies.
• Reconcile warranty payments and credits, and report discrepancies to management.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date warranty files and records.
• Coordinate with service advisors and technicians to obtain necessary information and documentation.
• Ensure all claims are closed within specified time limits.
• Support the service and accounting departments with administrative tasks as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience as a warranty clerk or in a similar automotive administrative role preferred.
• Familiarity with dealership DMS systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education is a plus.
