This is an on-site position (Monday through Thursday) based out of our Northbrook, IL office with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.

The Allocation Analyst's primary responsibility is to ensure that Crate&Barrel/CB2 has a suitable amount of products available to our customers. This is achieved by creating product availability plans for various seasons, as well as monitoring (and accounting for) fluctuations throughout the year. The allocation analyst is responsible for ensuring the ideal amount of inventory is always available in the retail store to maximize profits.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze inventory and facilitate the allocation of merchandise to regional Distribution Centers.
  • Analyze regional Distribution Center inventory levels and effectively manage inventory allocation to stores.
  • Analyze product flow and sales trends by region to accurately forecast future product needs.
  • Collaborate with the Order Management and Business Planning to identify and react to business needs to drive sales and profitability
  • Analyze and manage the distribution of seasonal and end of life core products to maximize sales and profitability.
  • Perform allocation hindsighting to improve future allocation and drive profitability
  • Track and release new product based on off-managed/floor-set calendar
  • Assist in maintaining accurate ETA's of PO's

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Aptitude for spreadsheet and planning tools
  • Understanding of the annual and seasonal buying plans, distribution needs and requirements, and goals of the Merchandising team.
  • Good communication skills; work consistency and accuracy

Experience Required:

  • A minimum of two years previous Inventory Management experience or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience
Minimum Starting Rate: $23.08 Hourly Up to: $28.85 Hourly Pay ranges will be adjusted upward as needed to comply with applicable state and local law. In addition to your salary, based on your role, associates may be eligible for other compensation including bonuses, sales incentives, and long term incentives.
