Job Location : New Orleans,LA, USA
Highly responsible supervisory administrative and technical work planning, directing, managing and overseeing all activities of the Airfield Maintenance Department, including ensuring proper maintenance of airfield pavement and infrastructure in accordance with FAA Part 139 requirements and grounds maintenance of off-site Airport properties in compliance with local code requirements. Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the on-Airport roadway systems serving the Terminal and South Campus. Coordinates maintenance and repair projects with other divisions, departments and outside agencies/contractors. Identifies and implements best practices for completion of airfield and Airport grounds maintenance and repair activities. Responsible for maintenance and repair of the Airport fleet of vehicles and departmental equipment, such as tractors, mowers, and heavy equipment. Performs such other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This is a non-competitive original entrance examination in accordance with Rule V, Section 8.1 (b) of the City Civil Service Rules.
This position requires a one year probationary period.
