Job Summary

Perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft systems, and ground support equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety. Lead and coordinate maintenance tasks, ensure compliance with procedures and regulations, and maintain accurate maintenance documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine aircraft maintenance functions and preventive inspections on aircraft and aircraft systems (including fuel, oil, and pneudraulic systems).
  • Demonstrate operational knowledge of aircraft, engines, systems, and components.
  • Operate aircraft towing equipment and ground support equipment (GSE).
  • Maintain aircraft hydraulic systems and overhaul aircraft components and sub-components.
  • Use hand tools and technical manuals to comply with maintenance procedures and directives.
  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, corrosion control, and preservation tasks.
  • Accurately complete maintenance documentation using Optimized Naval Aviation Logistic Management Information System (OOMA) and required forms; demonstrate proficiency within 90 days of assignment.
  • Lead and task subordinate personnel, develop and execute maintenance plans to meet aircraft Turn-Around-Time (TAT). Manage aircraft parts requisitions, inventory, and GSE inspections and maintenance.
  • Report violations of work rules and policies and comply with V2X and OSHA safety standards.
  • Operate motor vehicles, machines, and special-purpose equipment as needed.
  • Perform housekeeping and ensure proper calibration of tools and equipment.
  • Assist in on-the-job training (OJT) and demonstrate job procedures.
  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with safety policies.
  • Provide customer support during aircraft launch, recovery, and security when assigned to flight line duties.
  • Comply with corporate and physical security requirements.
  • Accurately enter hours worked in the company timekeeping system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum 6 years' experience working on CH / MH-53E aircraft.
  • Aviation Structural Mechanic Core and Organizational Level certifications.
  • CH53E Airframes Organizational Maintenance certification.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, schematics, and maintenance directives.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Industrial Security Clearance and Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Valid state driver's license (when required by job assignment).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OOMA system and aviation maintenance software.
  • Proven leadership and training capabilities.

  • CH53E Airframes Organizational Maintenance
  • Industrial Security Clearance (required and maintainable)
  • Common Access Card (CAC) clearance (required and maintainable)
