A Day in the Life of The Aircraft Maintenance Manager

As the Aircraft Maintenance Manager, you will manage assigned aircraft maintenance lines using production schedules, labor analysis, and budgetary information. You will utilize resources to manage entire aircraft maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alteration projects. You will oversee product quality while ensuring maintenance tasks and functions are carried out in compliance with the applicable requirements of the air carrier maintenance program and its inspection procedures manual.

Essential Duties of The Aircraft Maintenance Manager

• Ensure maintenance programs align with company goals and targets.
• Oversee the Aircraft Maintenance program.
• Coordinate with Quality Control to ensure maintenance complies with Federal Aviation regulations, manufacturer standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.
• Review customer programs and FAA regulations for compliance.
• Manage maintenance, preventative maintenance, or alterations, and approve and return aircraft or parts to service.
• Communicate significant information related to work, risks, safety, and quality.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years' recent experience in commercial aircraft maintenance and/or MRO.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in aircraft maintenance.
• Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.

Physical Effort and Dexterity

While performing duties, employees will sit, stand, walk, use hands and arms, talk, hear, and focus on objects close up. Lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 25 pounds may be required.

Compensation

The full base pay range is $92,000-$138,000 annually, excluding benefits or bonuses. Salary depends on skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The position is eligible for an annual bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
