Minimum and Additional Requirements This position requires an associate degree in aircraft maintenance or a closely related area. FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificates are also required or be within 2 years of completing. Must be able to complete A&P as a condition of employment. Preferred Qualifications Preferred applicants will have two (2) years of teaching experience in post-secondary education. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge and experience in all aircraft maintenance subjects in a Part 147 college curriculum. Including powerplants, propellers, reciprocating and turbine engine overhaul, supercharger and induction systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, reciprocating and turbine ignition systems, structural assembly, rigging, fuel systems, record management and reporting, interpretation of and compliance with Part 147, instruction and testing students is essential.
