Position Overview: The Aircraft Engine Test Technician will play a crucial role in executing various tasks related to the testing, inspection, and maintenance of aircraft engines. This position will be vital in ensuring safety and compliance with all regulatory and operational standards. Our facility specializes in testing GE and CFM commercial engines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive engine testing, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting in line with Standard Work and relevant technical references.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including EHS, quality, engineering, planning, and materials, to enhance operational effectiveness and drive continual improvement.
  • Adhere strictly to technical references such as Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Engine Shop Manuals.
  • Follow GE's FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and comply with the Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
  • Accurately document all work performed and record time using ERP software.
  • Participate in shop and housekeeping duties as part of the site's 5S and Total Proactive Maintenance initiatives.
  • Utilize mechanical skills and ingenuity to make swift decisions in a dynamic production environment while ensuring safety and efficiency.
  • Be available for flexible work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Be willing to travel internationally for initial training as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of mechanical experience.
  • Federal Aviation Administration Powerplant Mechanic certification.

  • Strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Proven track record in quality, compliance, and customer service.
  • A passion for continuous learning and a desire to expand knowledge across OWS test operations.
  • Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with commercial high-bypass turbofan engine testing.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oasis, or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of borescope inspection techniques.
  • Proven leadership in driving initiatives.
  • Proficiency in operating equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Possess a humble attitude: respectful, eager to learn, and adaptable.
  • Be transparent and collaborative in sharing information.
  • Ability to prioritize work strategically and be a quick learner.
  • Analytical thinker, able to question existing processes.
