This role bridges strategy and execution, architecting solutions, writing production-grade code, and guiding the full development lifecycle from proof-of-concept through deployment. The AI Solutions Engineer will lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge AI and automation solutions that transform complex manufacturing and business operations into intelligent, scalable systems The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering skills with applied AI/ML expertise, a deep understanding of enterprise systems, and a commitment to governance, security, and performance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:AI Solution Architecture & Development

  • Design, build, and deploy AI-driven applications, including generative AI agents, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation) systems, and automation workflows using Azure (Logic Apps, Azure OpenAI, ML, DevOps).
  • Develop in C# and Python; implement CI/CD pipelines to ship code efficiently and reliably.
ML/MLOps & Model Lifecycle Management
  • Build and maintain ML pipelines using Azure ML or Databricks for data preprocessing, training, evaluation, and deployment.
  • Implement robust observability, logging, and automated model retraining to ensure performance and reliability.
Integration & Data Engineering
  • Connect AI services with enterprise data sources including ERP systems (Epicor), SCADA/IoT systems, APIs, and message queues.
  • Securely bridge on-premise data to cloud environments using modern data architectures, vector databases, and APIs.
Governance, Security, & Risk Management
  • Define and enforce AI usage policies aligned with Microsoft Purview DLP and internal compliance standards.
  • Monitor models for drift, bias, hallucinations, and data leakage to maintain transparency, fairness, and reliability.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
  • 1+ years building and deploying production-grade ML, deep learning, or generative AI systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise integrating AI with enterprise data systems (SQL/NoSQL, REST APIs, message brokers).
  • Proficient in C# and Python; hands-on with libraries/frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face.
  • Strong grasp of DevOps practices including Git, IaC, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ability to break down complex technical problems and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft certifications: Azure AI Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Power Platform Solution Architect.
  • Experience with vector databases (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone), knowledge graphs, or prompt engineering (e.g., Copilot Studio).
  • Familiarity with blockchain integrations or decentralized compute frameworks (e.g., Solidity, EVM).
  • Background in manufacturing systems, SCADA, MES, or industrial IoT environments.
