Join CGI Federal's Federal Solutions Group as an AI Software Architect/Developer. Are you passionate in the field of Artificial Intelligence and want to be part of a team transforming large and complex enterprise systems into cutting-edge solutions? CGI Federal's Federal Solutions Group is seeking an experienced AI Software developer to work on the modernization of software products used by US Federal Government agencies and implement advanced AI capabilities. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Generative AI and Machine Learning to develop new capabilities in enterprise software systems. You will apply software development best practices to design and implement advanced product features, ensuring innovation and excellence in every aspect of the development process. As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with product Management and agile development teams to align AI initiatives with strategic goals. You will contribute to the team's growth by conducting peer code reviews and providing mentorship opportunities whenever possible Your mission will include utilizing AI to accelerate the modernization and re-platforming of enterprise applications, integrating AI-driven automation and optimization tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.

What We're Looking For:

Extensive experience in AI technologies and software development.

Strong programming skills (especially in Python) and familiarity with AI frameworks and cloud platforms.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a passion for tackling complex technical challenges.

This position is located in our Fairfax, Va or our Lafayette, LA, Knoxville, TN, Lebanon, VA, or Belton, Tx offices; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Architect and develop AI-driven solutions to modernize and enhance the capabilities of software products ensuring alignment with long-term strategic goals.

• Design and implement software architecture frameworks that integrate Generative AI, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP technologies.

• Hands-on development of advanced product features and capabilities, ensuring high-quality code and robust performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and specifications for AI initiatives.

• Utilize AI technologies to streamline and accelerate the modernization and re-platforming of enterprise applications to modern platforms and architectures.

• Develop strategies for integrating AI-driven automation and optimization tools into the software development lifecycle to enhance productivity and efficiency.

• Lead initiatives to refactor and re-engineer legacy codebases, leveraging AI tools to improve code quality and maintainability.

• Evaluate and implement AI-based solutions for automated testing, code generation, and other development processes to reduce time-to-market.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and code documentation.

• Implement best practices for software development, including version control, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).

• Evaluate and select appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies to support AI development efforts.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, providing guidance and support to development teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Due to the nature of this government contract, US Citizenship is required.

• 5-7 years of experience developing AI applications or AI based product features.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Extensive experience as a Software Developer or similar role, with a strong focus on AI technologies and SDLC process.

• Experience implementing complex software architecture frameworks.

• In-depth knowledge of Generative AI and the frameworks and tools essential for AI-driven development.

• Proficiency in various programming languages specifically Python and, Java, or .Net, with a strong emphasis on hands-on coding and development.

• Experience with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph ) and their application in real-world projects.

• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including agile practices and CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deploying AI solutions.

• Familiarity with AI-driven development tools and platforms that facilitate automation and optimization in software development.

• Strong understanding of modern software architectures and platforms, including microservices, containerization, and cloud-native technologies.

• Ability to assess and integrate AI solutions into existing development workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Ability to analyze and optimize complex software systems for performance and scalability.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.

Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

• Advanced degree in a relevant engineering/science major

• Able to demonstrate prior work implementing AI / ML projects where possible Ex: personal projects or open-source project contributions from GitHub

• Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations, particularly in the context of AI applications.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Knowledge of emerging AI technologies and trends, with a passion for continuous learning and development.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $111,600.00 - $219,600.00.
