What is the job about?

As an AI/ML data scientist at myNEO, your responsibilities will include :

  • Design and optimize deep learning models (e.g. CNNs, transformers) to discover novel tumor-specific targets from multi-omics data.
  • Translate biological hypotheses into AI/ML tasks such as classification or ranking.
  • Develop scalable, reproducable ML workflows in cloud-based environments.
  • Continuously validate and improve model performance using feedback from experimental and clinical validation.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure scientific findings are interpretable and clinically relevant.
  • Stay at the forefront of ML and bioinformatics research through literature review and conferences.
  • Contribute to building a strong data science culture.
What are we looking for?

We are looking for a full-time data scientist with the following profile:

  • PhD or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Machine Learning and Modeling, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML, preferably within life sciences.
  • Strong proficiency with Python and ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Some experience with omics data (RNA-seq, WGS, MS) and its integration into ML workflows is preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and workflow systems (Snakemake) is a plus.
  • Some knowledge of cancer biology or immunology is a plus.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
