AI/Machine Learning Engineer – TMT – Manager - ConsultingThe opportunity

Our Artificial Intelligence and Data team applies cutting-edge technology and techniques to deliver solutions to our clients. You will work closely with clients and diverse EY teams to develop comprehensive approaches to advising and solving challenging problems, some of which are unprecedented. This role involves continuous research and development, enabling you to build knowledge applicable across various projects now and in the future. Your key responsibilities

You will collaborate with a variety of clients to implement the latest data science and big data technologies. Your team will design and develop scalable solutions that unify, enrich, and extract insights from diverse data sources across a broad technology landscape. You will guide and perform technical development to ensure data science solutions are properly engineered and maintained, supporting ongoing business needs. You will join a dynamic team of scientists and engineers tackling complex computational problems, fostering creative thinking, efficient application development, and collaborative solution ideation. Many team members possess advanced academic degrees or equivalent industry experience.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Bachelor's degree and 6-10 years of full-time experience in AI, Data Science, or Machine Learning
• 2-4 years of experience managing technical teams
• Extensive experience in telecommunications, media, or technology sectors, with a solid understanding of industry trends
• Strong Python skills
• Experience with Generative AI models and frameworks such as OpenAI, open source LLMs, Dall-e, LlamaIndex, Langchain, RAG
• Proficiency with ML packages like scikit-learn, Pytorch, ONNX
• Experience with DevOps tools (GIT, Azure DevOps) and Agile tools (Jira)
• Proven ability to design and implement machine learning solutions improving network performance and customer experience
• Knowledge of telecommunications protocols (e.g., 5G, LTE) and data analysis from telecom networks
• Experience with streaming media technologies and analytics
• Familiarity with multi-modal models, customer segmentation, churn prediction, and recommendation systems
• Understanding of regulatory considerations in TMT sector
• Experience with real-time data processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka)
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure)
• Knowledge of network optimization algorithms, edge computing, IoT
• ML workflows, MLOps (MLFlow), CI/CD, test-driven development
• Designing, building, maintaining ML models and pipelines
• Experience deploying ML workflows on major cloud platforms
• Data structures, data modeling, software engineering best practices
• Proficiency with SQL, Pandas, Spark
• Strong communication skills for sharing findings and recommendations
• Experience with containerization, scaling models, integrating models with downstream systems
• Strong mathematical skills (calculus, linear algebra, statistics)
• Willingness to travel as needed

Ideally, you'll also have

• Ability to teach and explain concepts, tools, features, and benefits of different approaches
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Experience working with diverse teams on complex solutions
• Skills in additional languages such as R, JavaScript, Java, C++, C
• Experience fine-tuning Generative AI models

We provide a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, including a salary range of $141,400 to $259,200 in the US, with higher ranges in certain states. Our Total Rewards include medical, dental, pension, 401(k), and paid time off. Our hybrid work model expects most client-facing roles to be in person 40-60% of the time.
