Overview
Location: Must live within 90 miles of one of our PepsiCo office locations (Plano, TX, Purchase, NY, Chicago, IL). Role is HYBRID. Expect to be in office 2-3 days per week.
PepsiCo's Data, Analytics, and AI (D&AI) team transforms data into consumer delight, enabling digital transformation, new revenue streams, and innovation. As part of the Global Data & AI Architecture team, Architects define the right architecture to support high-priority data, analytics, and AI capabilities.
The successful candidate will have deep AI domain knowledge, the ability to simplify complex concepts, and experience working on complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Define AI north star architecture and technology strategy, leading evaluations and securing stakeholder alignment.
- Establish AI architecture principles and design patterns for ML, DL, Generative AI.
- Conduct market research to stay ahead of AI trends and evolve technology strategy.
- Evaluate existing AI architectures and develop roadmaps for improvement.
- Lead the AI Architecture Community of Practice, ensuring compliance with Responsible AI practices.
- Govern AI solution architectures to ensure alignment with standards and reduce technical debt.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated AI solutions.
Compensation and Benefits
- Range: $125,900 - $249,900, based on skills, experience, and education.

Qualifications
- Extensive experience in designing and deploying AI solutions in complex environments.
- Deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, including LLMs, NLP, computer vision.
- Experience with foundational models from providers like OpenAI, Azure, Google.
- Proficiency with AI frameworks and tools such as LangChain, vector databases.
- AI engineering experience, data engineering knowledge, Bachelor's degree required (Master's preferred).
- Experience with AI strategy, vendor evaluation, and working in large, multinational enterprises, preferably in CPG.
Functional Skills
- Understanding of MLOps, Responsible AI governance, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems thinking abilities.
Additional Competencies
- Interest in continuous learning, professional certifications in AI.
- Ability to influence at all organizational levels, excellent communication skills, and strategic thinking.
