The Calvert County Office on Aging is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Financial Manager to lead and oversee all fiscal operations for the division. This position is responsible for managing multiple funding streams across federal, state, and local levels, ensuring compliance through accurate budget preparation, audit readiness, and timely reporting. The role also supports the development of the annual Area Plan submitted to the Maryland Department of Aging and provides oversight of the volunteer tax program. Functions as the financial manager for the Office on Aging division. Oversees multiple funding sources at the federal, state, and local level. The work involved preparing budgets, preparing for audits, other reports and requests, and preparation and oversight of quarterly and annual reports. Assists management team with development of annual Area Plan to the MD Dept. of Aging and oversees the volunteer tax program. The work requires a degree and experience in the field.
Functions as the financial manager for the Division, supervises administrative support staff and coordinates all Division financial and statistical activities. The work involves preparing budgets, seeking new grants and writing grant applications. The work requires a degree and experience in the field. The work is performed under technical supervision.

Training and/or Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Experience:
Five years of progressively responsible experience in fiscal administration and grant writing that includes considerable experience managing staff, daily operations, customer service and policy development and implementation.
Licenses or Certificates:
Valid driver's license.
Special Requirements:
Operation of a County owned vehicle.
Subject to background investigation.
Physical Demands:
Operation of keyboard devices.
Unusual Demands:
Work is subject to frequent interruptions, inflexible deadlines, and attendance at evening/weekend meetings.

Pay rate: $45.43 - $52.11 per hour; $82,683 - $94,840 annually
Grade 726, Merit full-time position, 35 hours per week
