At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Senior IT Program Manager, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a Senior IT Program Manager joining our team to support our Federal Customer in the National Capitol Region.

The IT Program Manager shall strategically manage their contractor personnel who support WSU's complex IT programs, aligning them with business goals, while effectively managing their contract employees to foster collaboration and ensure successful product delivery goals.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure contract compliance, budget adherence, and proactively address any performance or resource issues of their contract employees.
  • Ensure the program aligns with Agile principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with enterprise cloud offerings, Custom Application Delivery, Low Code/No Code Application Delivery, government Security policies and practices, government Lifecycle Management practices, and knowledge of enterprise platform operations and maintenance.
  • Lead large-scale teams (100+ members) and manage an extensive Agile portfolio comprised of more than three Agile Release Trains, ensuring successful delivery of initiatives.
    • What You Will Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and technical certifications.
  • 8+ years of Technical Program Management experience.
  • 5+ years managing a multi-cloud environment with AWS and Azure.
  • Experience leading large-scale teams (100+ members) and managing an Agile portfolio with more than three Agile Release Trains.
  • At least one AWS or Azure cloud fundamentals certification.
  • One or more of the following certifications: Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer, Certified Agile Coach, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), Certified Agile Team Facilitator.
  • Experience in the Federal Law Enforcement / Intelligence Community is preferred.
  • Current PMP or similar project management certification is desirable.

    Salary and Benefits:

    The likely salary range is $138,072 - $186,804, based on experience, location, and contractual requirements. Salary outside this range may occur. Benefits and total rewards information is available on our website.
