Our client is the largest North American heat treat equipment manufacturer who has been in business for over 100 years. They are looking to revamp their Aftermarket Division with a new talent pool to take over for the aging workforce they have.Put your technical expertise and mission-driven mindset to work in the civilian sector! Ideally seeking a motivated, technically skilled, and mission-focused individual to join the Aftermarket Sales team. This position is ideally suited for transitioning military veterans with an electrical or controls background and the personality to thrive in customer-facing roles.They are looking for someone who understands discipline, thrives under pressure, and brings a solutions-first attitude to everything they do - sound familiar?What You'll Do:As part of the Aftermarket Sales team, you'll take the lead in providing technical solutions and aftermarket support for existing heat treat systems. Your responsibilities include:- Drive sales of parts, service, and system rebuilds-create estimates, prepare quotes, close deals, and ensure project execution.- Develop electrical control schematics using AutoCAD Electrical.- Program PLC and HMI systems; troubleshoot control issues onsite and remotely.- Design and work with process controllers, VFDs, and relay control circuits.- Engage with customers to diagnose problems, recommend upgrades, and deliver value-added solutions.- Travel to client sites (25% domestic travel) for inspections, startup support, and relationship building.- Negotiate contracts, review costs and performance, and meet aggressive sales goals.- Work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and field service teams.- Attend industry events, trade shows, and technical meetings.What You Will Bring:- Experience as an Electrical Technician, Controls Specialist, Maintenance Leader, or Engineering Officer in the military- Associates degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience- Solid knowledge of industrial control systems, schematics, and blueprint reading- PLC/HMI programming experience and familiarity with industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, DH+, etc.)- Strong communication skills and customer-first mindset- A natural ability to troubleshoot, adapt, and solve complex problems under pressure- Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) is a plus- Experience working in sales or client-facing roles during or post-service is highly valued Job 58553
