Leelanau Montessori is seeking a positive, kind, responsible person to lead an enriching after-school program for children aged 3-10 years old. The program will reflect our Montessori culture, include outdoor experiences, foster cooperation and connection, and provide exemplary care for young children.

Job Summary:

The After School Program Director will oversee daily operations, program development, safety and childcare regulations, relationship-based leadership, and collaboration with parents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, knowledge of child development, and experience in program management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with children, preferably in a school or community setting.
• Understanding of child development principles and best practices in after-school programming.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Social Work, Recreation Management, or related field.
• First Aid/CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain).
