Advocate Counselor/Coach - GOOD SHEPHERD SERVICES : Job Details

Responsibilities Manage a caseload of students, monitoring attendance, academic progress, and providing regular individual counseling. Conduct attendance outreach and family support to help students achieve a 90% attendance rate, including home or work site visits. Plan and facilitate advisory group sessions twice weekly. Support student recruitment and conduct intake assessments and interviews. Provide continuous feedback and resources to students and families to support academic success. Monitor credit accumulation and graduation requirements; counsel students accordingly. Collaborate with DOE/ GSS faculty to support student progress and develop individualized educational plans. Provide crisis intervention, conflict mediation, and social-emotional support. Refer students to external resources such as employment services, emergency shelter, daycare, and other social/educational supports. Maintain accurate documentation in Power.
