Advisor - East Tennessee State University : Job Details

The Office of the Dean is accepting applications for an academic advisor within the College of Health Sciences. The advisor will report to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and provide guidance to undergraduate students in the Colleges majors, minors, and pre-professional programs. The advisors main responsibilities include advising first-year, transfer, and continuing students on academic planning, course selection, requirements for their program, and campus resources. They will help students transition to college, complete general education and major requirements, and prepare for admission to further programs if needed. The advisor will communicate regularly with advisees, academic departments, the Deans office, and other advising staff. They will assist students in choosing a major, understanding application processes, and advising on developmental and career matters.
