Mission Community Hospital, in partnership with Innovative Medical Solutions, is actively recruiting board-certified or board-eligible Psychiatrists to join the core faculty of one of California's newest ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Programs. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to shape a growing academic program in a collaborative, community-focused setting.
Located in Los Angeles' vibrant San Fernando Valley, the position offers a unique balance of clinical work, teaching, and lifestyle—just 30–40 minutes from the beach and 90 minutes from local ski resorts.

About the Psychiatry Residency Program
- ACGME-accredited, community-based program with university affiliations, including UCLA.

Core Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor psychiatry residents across multiple clinical settings:
- Acute inpatient psychiatry
- Emergency department
- Outpatient clinic
- Consult-liaison service
- Detox and substance use disorder (SUD) programs
- Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
- Deliver didactic lectures (protected academic time provided)
- Participate in curriculum development, faculty meetings, and residency program evaluation
- Provide mentorship for research and scholarly activity
- Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, education, and continuous improvement
- Maintain a commitment to professional and ethical standards in all roles
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality psychiatric care in inpatient, outpatient, or IOP settings.
- Participate in the teaching and supervision of residents and medical students.
- Contribute to curriculum development and faculty meetings as part of the core residency faculty.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and compassionate care.
- Engage in academic and scholarly pursuits, including research, presentations, and continuing education.
- Maintain high professional and ethical standards in all clinical, teaching, and administrative activities
Qualifications
Open to new grads!
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of California.
- Strong commitment to education, mentorship, and clinical excellence.
- Experience with or interest in working with diverse populations.
- Academic affiliation or background preferred but not required.

Compensation: $350,000-$500,000 per year depending on experience.
