SUMMARY : With supervision, coordinates the admissions and enrollment process of students into various Maryland School for the Blind programs and related reporting of data. ACCOUNTABILITIES :Essential Functions:1. Utilizes a data management system to track, communicate, facilitate and report on the admissions and enrollment process for multiple programs.a. Manages data and quality assurance of data fields and forms in the admissions system.b. Facilitates communication to multiple stakeholders with appropriate releases about the status of admissions and enrollment.c. Creates consistent data reports and metrics from the data available.d. Monitors and disseminates information to multiple departments from the Inquiry formse. Generate, Prepare and Create reports as needed for various reporting purposes. f. Manages the Rolling Admissions timeline and schedule.2. Acts as an MSB representative during select IEP meetings, adhering strictly to procedural guidelines. 3. Facilitate and ensure quality and accuracy of data for specialized program enrollment (ie: Short Courses, Parent Workshops and Summer Programming) outside of the Rediker parameters, and/or facilitates the transition of these into the database.4. Coordinates and facilitates MSB Pre-Admission Tours and Visits for the school. 5. Facilitates and Coordinates multi-departmental meetings for admissions visits and enrollment meetings. 6. Act as a Liaison between families, the referring LEA and MSB during the admission & enrollment process.7. Works in conjunction with Statewide Services to identify students and services for off campus activities. 8. Facilitate smooth transition through the enrollment process from acceptance to the first day of school or other alternative solution designed by the team. Marginal Functions:1. Provides backup phone & administrative coverage for the Statewide Services Department.2. Performs additional duties as assigned. CONDITIONS :Equipment Used: Computer, keyboard, multiline telephone, copy machine, printer, and fax machine.Work Environment: Standard Office conditions with overhead fluorescent lighting, 70-80 degree air temperature.Work Schedule: 37.5 daytime hours M-F. Thirty minute daily unpaid lunch; flextime scheduling is possible. This position follows a twelve-month work schedule.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS : Knowledge, skills and general abilities:1. Requires a minimum of an Associates Degree, 48 college credits, or a ParaPro Assessment. Bachelor's degree preferred.2. Comprehensive knowledge of typing, word processing, database operation, presentations, document filing methods, record keeping, use and maintenance of office machines and equipment. General knowledge of both Microsoft and Google platforms preferred. (Willingness to learn within 30 days if hired without knowledge of one of those platforms.)3. Comprehensive knowledge of interpersonal communication and personal organizational strategies.4. Exacting attention to detail along with the ability to synthesize complex topics on multiple students at once. 5. 3-5 years of experience as a service coordinator or related position preferred.6. Basic knowledge of data systems, IEP Process, and Least Restrictive Environments. 7. Excellent planning, prioritizing, time management, organization, and interpersonal skills.8. Works independently and successfully with frequent interruptions.After six months in this position, the employee is required to have:1. Expert knowledge of the school's Admissions database.2. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of LRE and the IEP Process in the state of Maryland. 3.
