Overview

Admissions Application File Reader & Local Recruiter (Part-Time) Evergreen. This position is part-time, remote, and seasonal, with a minimum of 5 hours per week and an average of over 10 hours per week during the majority of the recruitment season. The role involves local recruitment in specified regions and review/evaluation of first-year undergraduate applications.

Responsibilities

• 40% - Essential - Potential Student Evaluation: Evaluates academic credentials and reviews application information of potential students in accordance with current Admissions office and University procedures. Makes and communicates admissions decisions. Meets with prospective students and provides accurate information on admission and curriculum to foster effective prospective student experiences with the University.
• 50% - Essential - Local Area Travel and Recruitment: Promotes and represents the University to prospective students, their families, and school officials at high school visits, college fairs, recruitment events, and other information sessions. Maintains a travel schedule for assigned recruitment area. Must follow the State of South Carolina's guide for travel expenses.
• 10% - Essential - Training: Periodic training sessions and office updates will be needed to stay current with the requirements of this position.

Minimum Requirements

• Education Bachelors Degree
• Experience 1 year of relevant experience

Preferred Requirements

• Experience 2 years of experience with Higher Education or Secondary Schools

Job Knowledge

Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and the ability to apply in varied situations.

Supervisory Responsibilities

No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

Budgetary Responsibilities

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Compensation Information

Anticipated Hiring Range: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour. Salary is dependent upon experience, knowledge, skills, and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
